In those times, positions were passed on through hereditary and were only changed if the next generation was incapable of handling the duties properly. Sarthak Kashyap was a loyal minister to the throne. He had served maharaja Abhiraj in his time and even guided Rudra till his son Shivansh was of age to handle the position.
