JEALOUSY

In those times, positions were passed on through hereditary and were only changed if the next generation was incapable of handling the duties properly. Sarthak Kashyap was a loyal minister to the throne. He had served maharaja Abhiraj in his time and even guided Rudra till his son Shivansh was of age to handle the position. He taught Shivansh the ropes of his duties and then took retirement to spend time with his wife and princess. Meera was a blessing in Sarthak and Nandini's life. After Shivansh's birth, Nandini was unable to conceive. But after a Tirth-yatra (holy pilgrimage) to Vrindavan, they were blessed with Meera. She was adored by her entire family who treated her with utmost gentleness and care. Since her father was a royal minister, Meera was always around the palace. That is where she met Aradhya, the royal princess, Rudra's sister. The two mischievous girls bonded immediately. Aradhya was a sweet child. She wasn't boastful about her status rather she preferred to stay in the cozy room of Meera rather than her gloomy palace. She was also forbidden from disclosing her brother's identity even to her best friend. But Meera had no care for the royals or for her king. For her he could stay hidden throughout.
